Just as I have started working on my master’s thesis project, Google bought Nest for $3.2 billion, Lenovo bought Motorola and Facebook’s acquisition of WhatsApp for $19 billion rocked the headlines worldwide. Many, including myself, instinctively thought we just might be approaching the new bubble and I have decided to explore the market situation in the Valley.
Throughout my research, interviews with tech analysts and investors, I have realized that most of them came to me with their own agenda and often couldn’t provide concrete examples or evidence to support their views. Because of that I have decided to take a different, more scientific approach. This website serves as a tool for readers to go through a collection of info graphs, both supporting and contradicting the “new bubble”, short case studies of three biggest players in the market and one question quiz – I think I don’t need to tell you what the question is.
