More seniors using public transportation or walking thanks to Fremont classes (VIDEO)

The Alameda County Transportation Commission has started funding classes that encourage seniors to exercise regularly and walk or use public transit to get to their destinations. Shawn Fong, the program manager for the city of Fremont, says that although the city has a good paratransit program, currently there are few programs that help support mobility for healthier seniors.

  1. This was a great video of what Trinh’s classes are like! I am one of the ‘alumn’s’ and am involved in a Walk This Way class and enjoy it very much!
    Good to see this promoted as many seniors need motavation of this kind to get and keep moving!!
