Sponsored by the Stanford Graduate School of Business and School of Engineering, the 2011 Cool Product Expo featured 39 different exhibitors showing products ranging from electric cars and environmentally friendly clothing to iPhone applications and fair trade coffee. There were even women’s ballet flats that fold into a convenient pouch and free samples of a caffeinated chewing gum that claims to help improve memory.
The exposition drew nearly 1,000 visitors to Stanford’s Arrillaga Alumni Center Thursday, and presenters ranged from established companies like Chevrolet, which was showcasing the new Chevy Volt, to brand new startups like sareecycle, which makes modern clothing out of vintage saris and was making its public debut.
The photo gallery below illustrates some of the most innovative and interesting ‘Cool Products’ this year’s event had to offer.
