San Francisco tourist hot spots like Fisherman’s Wharf, the Ferry Building, Market Street and the Powell Street BART station are known for their wide array of street performers. Dancers, artists, musicians – even people posing as statues or disguising themselves as bushes – attempt to make a living by entertaining people passing by.
In this video, street musicians Paul Baird and Robert Doerr share a glimpse of their daily lives – the people they meet, the songs crowds respond to, and even a few run-ins with the law – as they eke out a living doing what they love.
