For chef Chat Mingkwan, cooking is not just about the taste, but also about the texture, cut and presentation of the food. An architect first, Mingkwan became a French-trained chef and teaches Asian-inspired cooking classes full-time through his business, “Unusual Touch.” In addition to teaching, Mingkwan is an organizer of the renowned weekly Sunday brunch at Berkeley’s Thai Buddhist Temple.
