At 200 Hamilton Avenue, Fraiche Yogurt has been selling lots of mango frozen yogurt this summer. The flavor has proved even more popular at its Stanford campus location.
Gelato Classico, located at 435 Emerson Street, reports that Bavarian mint is a summer favorite, but their top seller is still coppa mista: a combination of chocolate, vanilla, pistachio and almond.
At Häagen-Dazs, located around the block from Gelato Classico at 203 University Avenue, salted caramel truffle is the clear winner among this summer’s ice cream eaters. It’s vanilla ice cream swirled with caramel and salt, and packed with milk chocolate “truffles” filled with extra oozing caramel. Employees say buckets of this flavor run out within a few hours.
Further down University Avenue at number 429, Yoppi Yogurt’s best seller is their signature tart flavor, made from plain yogurt. The store also sells cups of Gelato Classico, and strawberry cheesecake is the winning gelato flavor here.
Directly across the street from Yoppi at 440 University Avenue, Michael’s Gelato & Cafe has found a hit with watermelon sorbet. Lemon has been the second most popular flavor this summer.
