An October tradition, the 41st annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, brought costumed crowds to Peninsula this weekend. The coastal city, which calls itself the World Pumpkin Capital, kicked off the fall season on Main Street with pumpkin patches, a haunted house, a costume contest and the Great Pumpkin Parade. The two-day event also features food, wine and craft vendors, a battle of the bands and — of course — some heavy-weight champion pumpkins.
The festival continues through Sunday, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Main Street in Half Moon Bay, between Kelly Avenue and Spruce Street.
